    Hi, for those of you who own cards that use the SAA713X chip, and do capture via s-video with VirtualVCR, what values do you use for the saturation/contrast/hue/brightness/value? When I use the default, i find the contrast to be too high. I have tried using different combitions of the above values but I just cannot get the final video to look like the original. I have burned the video onto DVD to watch on TV, so monitor/tv settings is not an issue.... could someone who has successfully managed to get the right values pls post here? thanks.

  2. I have a wintv card that (I think) has a Phillips tuner in it. I use Virtualvcr almost exclusively. I found a channel that had a watermark on it and adjusted intil I could see it and the rest of the screen (if that made any sense). I think I left the hue and saturation alone....

    Hi thanks for replying. What's a watermark? If its possible, could you help me check out the values you use and post them here? I spent the whole of last night tweaking and just cannot get a combination that looks exactly like the original. Thanks.

  4. One of the "channels" here is an information channel. There is an American flag in the background along with whatever information is up on the screens. My values ended up being somewhere around:
    Brightness= 750?
    Contrast= 98?

    Something like that...
