  1. I've been using VirtualVCR to capture from my video cam for a long time with no dropped frames or any other problems. I was using an ASUS P5NSLI mobo with 1gig ram and a Pentium D 3.4 gh proc.

I recently switched to a P5QL PRO mobo (same ram and proc) and since the switch VirtualVCR is dropping frames at an insane rate.

I have 2 SATA drives and 1 IDE and it drops frames on all drives.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

  2. Could someone lend a hand here, I have an ATI 650 pro cap card and for some odd reason I'm dropping 33 frames every 5 secs. I'm puzzled

  3. if you got a video card with audio inputs (it's trendy these days)
you best connect your wires directly to you audio card to avoid dropped frames

As for Virtual vcr there are options in the audio tab to solve the issue (resample dynamically seems the best way)

  4. This doesn't help, I never run my audio through the cap card but into the line in on the audio card. I have a 650 and a 550 and neither work in this recent motherboard (P5QL PRO), I was just hoping someone else had encountered this problem and had a solution.
