  1. Paid to download a Video On Demand wmv file (that is good for 30 days of viewing and works fine under Media Player), how can I take the file and convert it mpeg so I can burn to dvd (if this is possible).

If I try and import into XP Movie Maker 2, I get this error...

The file D:\VOD\12345.wmv is protected using digital rights management and cannot be imported.

If I try and bring into TMPGEncPlus, it won't open the file (it works fine for non-Digital Rights Management WMV files...)

Is there anything I can do about opening the file into a tool so I can encode it and write it to DVD???

I have access to machine without the Digital Rights Management update installed if necessary

  2. I believe that this post violates the rules on warez. You are asking for help to do something blatantly illegal and that is not allowed. Nyah levi

  3. The above poster, nelson133 is right. Breaking DRM on a downloaded file is considered warez and as such is against the AUP of this site.

It seems like an honest mistake though on your part so no warning, just a lock of the thread.
