  1. Hi I wanted to know if there is a similar program (cheaper) like Fast DVD Copy 2 where I can choose if I want the extras or not...

    Because it is really i difference in quality and I don't want only the movie...

    I don't need a all-in-programm but a compile program where I can select a bit more than just languages...

    thx for your help

    check my website, its not a "app" that does it but this is how I do it

    its really easy, takes but a few seconds once you understand the concepts

    ps, have not updated to use mac the ripper for the ripper so please use that instead of dvdbackup

    its the dvd to dvdr advanced tutorial

  4. @ galactica

    i checked your advanced dvdr tutorial and when i'm not mistaken is this the same thing fast dvd copy 2 does. well the only diff is that with your method you have to do it by hand but i say fdc2 is bloody slow so why cash $99 for that when i can do by myself much faster

    so thanks for this tutorial will try it out soon

  5. worked out for me BUT:

    FDC2 has some advantages:
    -> more precise
    -> doensn't freeze

    so do you have any idea to improve this cool and cheap tutorial ?

    for example -> how can you find out the specific sound files because they also need space and while in your tutorial they are ALL compiled as well they they quality is badder than with FDC2

    second problem -> who to make a continuous black screen in the extras like on fdc2 where it does not freeze but show a continuous black screen...

    maybe -> someone could analyze a fdc2 and find out how they do it... i really want to improve this tutorial because FDC2 is TOOOO EXPENSIVE

  6. Dudes I had a great idea for one of the problems:

    As you may have noted -> when you play the bonus materials -> BAD ideal (my player freezes and i have to restart the dvd)

    so i thought I could take a VOB file which was generated by FDC2 and has only a blackscreen for 1 sec...instead of a textfile which has nothing...

    so I'm going to try if it works and will report it later...

    that will work...
    my player actually "sits" for 2 seconds and then return to the main menu if attempting to access a removed file

    so i dont have the freeze problem, but if you do, just make a .vob that a black screen valid mpeg2 file and you will be good to go

  8. I'm now trying out...maybe you should give a hint in your really good tutorial...

    but another question when i work like the tutorial i have unused space of about 100 megs or so how can i estimate the space more precisely ? on what does it depend ??

    PS:. REALLY GREAT TUTORIAL

    Those i have done do shows up as 4.3 gigs in toast's file size display but typically when i get info on them they will be 4.4 gigs/or be equal to 4.4 gigs in bytes.

    if you are consistently 100 megs off just up file size output by 90 megs or so [hate to have you put in 100 and be a few bytes over and have to do it all over again!]

    glad you like the tutorial. I just cant justify $99 when you can do it by hand!

  10. I know what you mean but it's the finder which shows me 100megs less...or so

    but it's really true for 29 or 39 dollars the programm would be good value but 100 ? sorry dude not with me
