I appear to have two DVD-RW coasters! Both were written to successfully with my Pioneer 107. However I attempted to use them again by first deleting the disk using DVDInfoPro before re writing. Now both disks don't even register as being in the drive!

Are these totally knackered? Is there anything I should be doing to stop this happening again?

BTW my DVD has been flashed with the latested hacked 1.13 firmware.

    Thanks

I would use ImgTool to erase the DVD-RWs.

When this happens to me, I stick the DVD-RW in the afternoon sun for about 20 minutes, then immediately go in and try to erase them. This method hasn't failed me yet.

Tommyknocker - thanks for the suggestion but I get the same error - "no media is inserted"

No, I'm not. I have some Princo DVD-RWs that sometimes refuse to erase. The afternoon sun trick always works in getting them to erase.

If you know someone with a set top DVD recorder that uses -RW try erasing it on that. It's worked for me b4.

Have you actually tried using nero?

It might appear stupid, but you should not use cheap media for dvd-rw ever.

    That is your problem.

OR try them in another pc.

I don't bother with them as 100 4spd dvd-rs + 100 cases (full size dvd ones) off www.blankdiscshop.co.uk are £29.95 plus they sell cheap enough branded dvd-rws too.
