did you burn the videos as mpg's or as dvd files? if you want it to play in dvd players, you need to use an authoring program to author the dvd files. you cant just burn mpgs straight to a dvd. some players might recognize it, but most dont

  3. Hi yes i just went into easy cd creator and clicked on make new data disc and burned them as mpeg files on a dvd+r disc. I tried to use the dvd builder but 1 hour long film filled the disc up and it kept saying burn vcd may not record properly, so bit confused, cheers zydol

  6. Try to access them with a player program. I don't know really, but try to set the explorer to show "all files" - may be for some odd reason they are "hidden".

ok, long story short: you cannot just burn the mpg files to make a video dvd. i dont know why you are not seeing the files in explorer, but they are there. and your set-top dvd player can probably recognize mpg files, but MOST dvd players dont. that is why you need to author the files. PLEASE check out the guides to the left on authoring. there are many guides using many different programs, so i guarentee you will find a way to do it.

this is probably becuase you didnt set the bitrate right. use the dvdrhelp bitrate calculator in the TOOLS section to correctly fit the video to the disc. also be sure you select dvd, NOT vcd
