I just bought a DVD burner and want to create DVD's from DV tapes. What are the first steps and which software shall I get (I somehow "copied" 1.5hr DV tape to my harddrive using Adobe Premier Pro and the file is huge, 13GB)?
I already have Nero 6 and Adobe Premier Pro 7.0, and latest DivX and XVid codecs.
The best would be you directing me to websites/sources where I can read more by myself. Adobe's tutorials are not helpful and I seem not to find anything on this site either,- most stuff is for advanced users or users who already know (at least in general) what to do.
Please help and thank you for your time.

There is no easy way, thats why you didnt find anything maybe. It also depends on what encoder you want to use. I think the very easiest way would be to drag and drop the avi files from explorer into CCE (cinema craft encoder) and encode. Just go to the audio settings (for each file) and set it to 48000hz (or better, set it in the template and click Replace button when done, THEN add the files). When the encoding is finished you add each mpv and its corresponding mpa file in for ex. DVDAuthorGui (free and good one), and then burn it to DVD with Nero.
I have never tried your adobe-proggy, maybe it can encode for all i know. -
