  1. Hi everyone,
I need a few guidelines in Premier CS4.

First of all, which format will you recommend to work with? (panasonic Dv or other?)
these days I'm editing mostly mkv or vob files, and not footage's.
I don't know which format to convert them, and what software to choose.

    tnx in advance.
    Sundayarak.

Avoid the Panasonic DV codec. It has many problems.

Not clear what you are doing but it converting to DV format in Virtualdub, use the Cedocida DV codec.

Why are you using CS4 for this?

For Virtualdub you will need to demux the mkv or vob to YV12, YUY2 or RGB and then use these settings to encode DV so you can import to CS4. Need more detail on your process.
