I am attempting to convert a Pal DVD to NTSC DVD using the following: Avisynth, DVD2AVI, and TEMPGENC. The original PAL DVD is anamorphic widescreen. When played on WinDVD it plays and displays fine like an anamorphic dvd should. But when ripped and viewed through DVD2AVI, the entire screen is filled up with no bars and the picture is tall and stretched (its almost behaving as if my computer monitor was widescreen display, which it is not). When I convert using TEMPGENC, its preview window displays the same thing and the final product also suffers from the same problem. Can anyone point me to a setting in TEMPGenc, or even perhaps DVD2AVI, that might solve this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
