I have a file that is in Divx 3.11 with Divx audio (0x161 is the tag). Video converted fine to MPEG-1 for VCD. The AVI file plays fine.

How in the world can I convert the audio to MPEG?

I've tried using VirtualdubMod and going into stream list, and demuxing it, but then it is unrecognized by Windows Media, Winamp, BeSweet and SoundForge. I've tried a number of extensions -- .wav, .wma, .mp3, .mpa, and .ac3. Okay, so its 5, but GSpot lists it as Windows Media V2 on the 1st PC, and then as Divx ;-) Audio on my computer.

Its times like this that I wish my Divx TV project PC would work.....then I need not convert at all :)

I would load the original video into Gold Wave and save it as an .mp3 file. Then use TMPGEnc to mux the MPEG and .mp3 files to a VCD format.
    Hello.
