  1. I am a total newbie at this, and I need some help in a bad way. I have a whole bunch of wmv files that total around 4GB of space which I'd like to put on a DVD-RW, however when I put a DVD-RW into my Optorite 203 drive, and try to access the drive itself, it always, always says that the D drive(which is my opto drive) is not accessible. Am I doing something wrong? Anybody have any clues?? Thanks in advance.

I'm no expert but have you flashed the latest firmware. My Optorite is absolutely ace.

  3. I went to the optorite site, and there was one firmware for the 203 to download, there was no description of what it does, and it also said that you had to flash it through DOS, and not virtual DOS... I have no clue how to do this. Any help?

I may be totally off base here but from my reading of it, you are putting in the disk and then going to my computer or Explorer and trying to see the disk??

You need to use the burning software that came with the drive. I don't recall if it was B's Gold/Clip or Nero or ??

You need to use the burning software to write to the disk. It isn't like a big floppy.

Hope I'm not off base and if so please ignore.

You need to make a boot disk to flash in dos, doing it from within windows with the dos flash software will 99.99999% trash the drive.

    Good Luck
