Worried About this email i got..

it looks like sombody is faking these emails

I can say that 100%, Baldrick did NOT send that to you! A while ago someone was sending "Sefy's" guide notices to people. It was not Sefy. You could try to get more info on where it came from, but most likely from an anon re-mailer.

But I do know Baldrick wouldn't have sent you an attachment of any kind, even if he did send you a message.

I think it is more likly a virus is spoofing his address from another computer.

Many viruses will search web pages the infected computer visits and uses them for their purposes. His email is plastered over much of this site. And the email you enter into your profile here is whereever you post. Someone visiting the site probably has a virus that does this.

I got three or four and tried for hours to get the attatchments to open. I double clicked them and told them to run and put them on my harddrive and double clicked them, but they just didn't do anything. :P

A few years ago I had this prg that would email someone and you coudl type what you wanted them to see as the sender. I don't know how they related you to baldrick, which makes me think it was someone from this site.

Several thousands outlook express users have my email in their outlook address bok. And if any of those get a virus it can use my email as the reply to/from-email.

That's why the email I have listed is my crap address. I use it wherever I need to give an email address that may easily be found by spam-bots, or virii, like in forums such as this. I have a main one I only give out to friends and trusted sources, like for online purchases, or business contacts.

Just to clarify the issue from my point, I do NOT send emails to anyone, not unless they emailed me for assistance. So if you never contacted me, then you should not be getting emails from me. Even if you did contact me, then the email should only be a reply, not something new.

So anyone, if you suddently get an email containing my name and you are not expecting anything, just DELETE it, it's not from me!

Its too easy to send email with fake sender. The S in SMTP means Simple, and it IS simple. Anyone can send those kind of emails without any special programs. (Edited, FOO dont like )
