I just got a Lite-On 24x, and burnt my first SVCD on a 99 min disc. The disc is full - "98:42" according to Nero 5.5.5.1. In reality, there's about 52 minutes of video on it.
When I play it on my Pioneer DV-343, it makes it about 90% through, then acts like a scratched record (remember those?), replaying a few seconds of the clip repeatedly.
There's nothing wrong with the disc itself - I played it through with WinDVD on the Lite-On. It was burnt at 8x, as recommended.
Is this problem just a limitation of the player? If so, can it be fixed? If not, what players can play these discs all the way through? (This would be a great piece of information to add to the player guide!)
I've been looking at a possible upgrade to the DV-444. Can this player make it through the whole "99" minutes? Thanks!

99 minute cds are not supported officially by any CD drive...so good luck getting them to work in too many things outside of a few exceptions
