Smart Ripper, No .IFO and .BUP if split by chapter?

I used Smart Ripper

Why doesn't Smart Ripper generate the VIDEO_TS_IFO and VIDEO_TS_BUP files when ripping by chapter.

If you rip by "movie" then select split by chapter you get

VTS_01.idx
VTS_01_0.ifo
VTS_01.lst
VTS_01INFO.txt
...and all of your VOBs (ripped by chapter)



It you rip by "files" or "backup" you get
VIDEO_TS_IFO
VIDEO_TS_BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
...and all of your VOBS (ripped by default size)


Why does smart ripper give you the choice to rip by chapter when the authoring programs like DVD shrink wants the VIDEO_TS_IFO
VIDEO_TS_BUP files. Why doesn't Smart Ripper generate the VIDEO_TS_IFO and VIDEO_TS_BUP files when ripping by chapter.
