  1. hi

anyone has this standalone divx/dvd player?
i have difficulties reading the subtitles of some animes(avi. format)...the subtitles are very below on the TV screen...has been chopped off.......can this player adjust the picture size besides the zoom function?
i can only use zoom function to make the subtitles lifted up but it's not nice as it reduced the whole picture size to half.

    thks a lot

  3. thks for replying me, roundabout. really appreciate it...thks again

i guess i just need to wait others new DIVX/DVD player which can adjust the picture size at least a bit (especially the bottom part).
It's really a pain watching japanese anime with the chopped off subtitles.

  4. Hello, I don't own this player and still looking for player that able to play anime dvix files properly (no cropping). There is one reviews by someone at epinions.com about this player that there is a way to fix the aspect ratio on the remote. Somekind of Zoom feature behind the cover flap, that when pressed, can change the size of the screen using the arrow keys... is this true? If so, maybe this is the player that I am looking for. Anyone who owns this player know?

  6. I don't know about the 2001 but I have the 2002 and it can scale width and height independently in small increments. Press the Zoom key, use the arrow keys to adjust:

    right arrow = wider
    left arrow = narrower
    up arrow = taller
    down arrow = shorter

Maybe a firmware update will help you out?
