  2. Which audio stream did you rip? AC3? DTS? Do you have the proper decoders installed on your system?

why the heck you rip ac3 (no dts on LoTR 3) to wave file -- 3+ hours of wav files going to be HUGE !!!

ot did you rip as ac3 ? then you need a ac3 codec ..

what are you trying to do anyway ?

  6. In dvd2avi is your output method set up as decode to wav(ac3,lcpm). tmpgenc should be able to open this file.

Why not use DVD Shrink 3.1. I have backed up LOTR3 and it is beautiful.
DVD Shrink --> Re-Author, No Menus, No Spanish, Audio Ch 1 only. fills the DVD and compresses about 50%. Works great.

  8. yeah sounds like you might be doing things the hard way. DVDShrink will give it to you in a neat little ready to burn package. If you want to extract sound clips or peices from it I would highly suggest womble mpeg video editor. Amazingly easy to use and almost NO processing time if you keep the video in the same format/bitrate.
