  1. I have just now bought a DVD-ROM and started trying to rip dvd's, and have a problem already. I can rip beautiful video quality filed with Smartripper but now understand region coding. My rips are in freakin' French. I checked it out and my drive is locked and there is not firmware out there to unlock it, so I am screwed right? All my rips will be in someother language other than English, right? I have this freakin' DVD-ROM:

  3. Well i tried to rip the same DVD with a Toshiba sd-m1202 dvd and the files still came out in French, I guess it is something in the DVD itself since the Toshiba DVD is free from region restrictions. Any ideas?

  4. Geez,

People, just change the audio channel in Smart Ripper !!! The DVD you rip probably has france as the first audio track. Try setting the audio track to another channel in the audio tab.
