I am one of those who made the mistake of buying a LITEON LVD-2001. Unfortunately by the time I discovered how many flaws it has, I couldn't return it to the reseller, so I am stuck with it until I have a budget to buy a different DVD player (and get rid of this one).
I read in the compatibility list that firmware v.302 is available. Perhaps it can mitigate the bitter experience with this player (it currently has firmware v.229). But I also read many posts there that say that v.302 actually made things WORSE. Someone even says that after the firmware upgrade he cannot watch REGULAR DVDs anymore...
Anyone here can recommend the v.302 upgrade anyway?
Note that I am not interested that much in DivX and its variants. I bought it mainly for playing regular DVDs, SVCDs (home videos), regular CDs and MP3 CDs.
Thanks!
