    I just downloaded and installed the new version 2.5 on
    my Vista machine. Ran setup.exe as Administrator
    and made the shortcut with Run As Administrator
    as suggested here. I created a DVD from 2 .avi files.
    No snags so far!

    Hey, I was using SVCD2DVD 2.1 and with vista. I had to install the latest Net Frame ... 1.1 Sp1, but when I used the Internet I had no problem with registration. I also have a Laptop with 2.5x Burner. There were some DVDs >4,8,16X, blank, which caused some problems with DVR Players, as well as the burner in my laptop. I lost a capability to read DVDs I burn, but they play in Home DVD Players, and I can play commercial DVDs fine with my laptop. huh? Working through the CDRecord/CDR-Tools problems, I found so many problems with media vs drives. A caveat. Thanks for your nice VOB/IFO Product.
