Can i author a DVD with ac3 using TMPGenc without the plugin

I already converted the WAV to ac3 with BeSweet. Will TMPGenc accept this even though I don't have the ac3 plugin for it? Is the plugin just for conversion or is it needed to author a dvd with ac3, regardless if the audio has been converted to ac3 already?

The ac3 plugin is ONLY required if you want convert to ac3. It works perfect to author ac3 without it.

But remember that the besweet/ffmpeg ac3 encoder isn't perfect so if you have problem playing it you may want to get the ac3 plugin to tmpgenc dvd author.
