I was wondering, what is the difference between "DVD-R" and "DVD+R"? My DVD burner drive says DVD+R on it but when I bought the disks they were DVD-R but they still worked. Is it just a gimmicky thing or they can't decide on a name or what? Thanks for helping me (preferably in simple terms

Don't be too fussed, I think these guys have difficulty reading and comprehending what has been written.

If I understand you correctly you're asking why is your DVD+R only burner capable of burning DVD-R media. I'm guessing the simple answer is that its -R compatible. Check the specs.

Let me assure you when this forum first started a few years back . . . when it was VCDhelp.com users were more than happy to help. I wouldn't let them concern you too much.

You will find most users are still very helpful.
