  1. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give on this problem. I am having problems getting Ulead DVD movie factory to recognize any screen size over 720 X 258, or something like that, the bottom number is extremely low. I have had this card before in a system running Win ME and it worked great with DMF. I bought a new system because the old system was just not capable of doing video capture. No DMA on the HD etc. The graphics capture card I am using is an ATI AIW 128 (16 meg) PCI card. My new system is running windows XP. I have gone onto the ATI site and gotten their XP driver for the card, installed a newer version of MMC. I believe like 7.5 or something. It seems that the capture in the MMC can get a resolution over the low bottom number of 258, just the DMF program won’t. I can’t figure it out since the card and program worked fine on my old system. Is this an issue with the ATI XP driver, a codec, or what? I’m fairly new to video editing. I have searched many sites but have not been able to come up with anything on this problem. I would appreciate any help anyone could give. Thanks

Your card is ancient. You can grab a newer one (even a "lowly" 7500 or 7200) off eBay for $50 or so.

  3. Thanks, Just picked up a 7500. I thought the card was a little out dated, but I just didn't want to spend the $300+ for a new one. Thanks for the help.
