  1. Hey everyone, I am looking for a program that is really good for editing sound. I want to make sound slow down and effects like when someone is yelling its like nooooooooooooo and all funny sounding. I also want the Max Payne bullet time sound effects like when he is going in and out of bullet time and when the sound is slow when he is doing stuff in bullet time. Some friends of mine are making a movie and we want to use these effects, which program would be best for doing stuff like this?

    how much do you want to spend ? you will need a multichannel editor with pan and keyframe surround capibilities ..

    I usually think of Ableton Live as a live performance equivalent to Acid, a real-time loop arranger, and not as an audio editing application per se.

    then again, I haven't played around with it since version 1.5, so they may have expanded it's features...
