I started off capturing all my videos using CinePlayer DVR and when I tested my recorded captures in a dvd player, the videos were very loud.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I don't mind using VirtualDub since that's what most people seem to use to capture, but could someone explain to me how to keep the audio in my captures from being real loud? Thanks guys!

In Cineplayer go to:
Preferences -> Audio Settings -> Mixer Recording Source
and note down the source.
now go to volume controls via taskbar tray icon or click on the button which says launch vol. controls on the Audio Settings Tab in cineplayer.
In volume control go to:
Options -> Properties and select "Recording" radio button.
No select the recording source and increase/decrease recording level.
Hope that helps. -
If you have that window open while recording the little VU bargraph will show you the approx level. I have mine set at about 3/4 and it seems to give great sound without clipping (distortion) but you may want to adjust it depending on your source material.
