  1. Hi,

This is a great forum, but it's so damn big, that I can't find the specific information I am looking for.

So, I am asking my question in this forum:

I have been using this guide: https://www.videohelp.com/srtsubsvirtual.htm
to sort out how I can add subtitles to a DivX Video and convert it to SVCD.

But something goes terribly wrong: the video doesn't move. As in: the sound and subtitles work, but I am stuck with a frozen video-image of the first second of the movie.

Does anyone know what causes this and how I can fix it?

    Thanks a lot,
    egs

  2. Before you stick the subs into the AVI file, load it first in virtualdub mp3freeze and under video tab choose "check or search" video for freezes. If the avi has bad sectors it will make a log file which you can see and then correct those bad sectors. There's a guide in this forum that tells you how to do it. Very easy and simple. Hope i could help you!
