I normally use DVD-Lab and love the control, but it is very picky on my GOP sizes, so I have to resort to TMPG Author, which does not include all the features I want, two questions can I ignore GOP sizes in DVD-Lab (best option), or can someone suggest another program for authoring that gives the control of DVD-Lab but not the problem with GOPs, thanks

Why are you having problems with your GOPs, or more specifically, what problems with them are you having?

ctech,
I would say DVD lab is expecting compliant GOP sizes for DVD authoring.
I hate to say DVD lab is picky because it using established standards and expects the author to import compliant ES. Are these TV captures ?
I wonder how TDA gets around the non-compliance? Does it reencode for you?-----------------------------------------------------
There is a reason why God gave us one mouth and two ears!!! -
they are DVB captures, TDA just ignores them and no it does not reencode, and they play fine, I can fix the GOP with Mpeg-VCR but I have like 200 gigs of stuff and don't want to take the time to reencode, I don't see the difference between the fixed file and the ignored one, I just wondered if there was a trick to ignore GOP size in DVD-Lab, or some other program that is not as picky but same features, thanks
