Sort of like a guilty pleasure movie thread.

    Here's two of mine:

The Adventures of Ford Fairlane - Great quote from this movie:

Out of towner: Can you tell us how to get to Graumann's Chinese Theater?

Ford: Go back to Wisconsin, *******.

Out of Towner: We're from Chicago.

Ford: Yeah, and I'm from my Dad's penis.

Sorry Ironballs, but those don't count.
Not everybody thought they were crap!!
TONS of poeple like the Star Wars movies.
and not all Star Wars fans hated the first 2 either.
I like 'em just fine (haven't seen ep III yet, I'm going tomorrow morning!)

I knew I was going to get flamed.

Ep III, not a bad flick compare to ep I and II, I can recommend it.

Back on topic, I really liked kanagroo Jack, but everyone I met thinks it sucked.

all 4 Batman movies (though like Ironballs with Star Wars, a lot of folks actually liked the first 2... many hate the last 2)

There's many here (I like some pretty twisted movies) ... But this one stands way out:

"The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension"

I got boo'd by about 6 family members when I first tried to put it on for them.

I also enjoyed "Enemy Mine" - made me think of "The Last Starfighter" which I liked and not many others cared for.

I second that. I don't think that people genuinely hate Star Wars - just that many think that some of them (esp EP 1/2) could have been handled better.

I haven't seen that film yet ... but another Bill Murray movie, "The Razor's Edge," was panned by both critics and the box-office. I loved that film. Another film I loved that critic Leonard Maltin panned as "sophomoric" is one of my favorites - "The Hollywood Knights."

I genuinely hate Eps 1 & 2 and I dislike 3. They would've been handled better by a drunk chimp.

    The Shadow (1994)
    Captain America (1990)
    Fantastic Four (1994)

.... lots of those older B-rated superhero films that nobody else seems to like... oh well...

Of course, 1/2 were better but everyone rubished part 3 a lot.
