Nero keeps giving me this error.

    RecordNow Max will also error.

Pioneer 120 on IDE2 (UltraATA card) and
    Pioneer 105 on IDE1 (motherboard)

Trying to do on-the-fly (must be this, no time for HD first mess)

Anybody get this error? Have a fix?

The source is an unencrypted DVD-R and copying to new blank DVD-R. Both media are MXLRG01 of best quality.

copy to hard drive first, then burn. On the fly is not usually recommended when burning dvd's. It sounds like you are having buffer underrun issues.

To the hard drive is not an option. On the fly works fine on the other PCs. It's just this one giving me hell.

PrimoDVD says the read rate of the DVD-ROM is not fast enough.

I'm thinking something on the TX2 card isn't kosher. Windows ME will not let me put any of those TX2 devices in DMA (though it should have DMA on the card). DMA not even showing as an option on the TX2 drives.

  5. It almost sounds like Nero's put blocker code in that prevents any DVD-DVD copying...

Does your TX2 card show up as a Disk Controller or SCSI Controller in your Device Manager?

There, you answered your own question....The other PC's are not whats causing you the issue..it's the one your writing about. The one you are trying to work with may not do what you want it to do... If you can copy to your hard drive, it may be your only option with the PC that's causing you the problems.. If you can't copy to it, I'd look at increasing my memory... Also, search in the IDE controllers advanced settings in device manager.. sometime PC's can have the DMA enabled through them and not the Hard drive....Good Luck, Live Long and Prosper, Wash your toes and pick your nose...

  8. I've been using WinME since it was released. And I've had very little in the way of problems on any of my machines.

I do also use Win2000 Pro in multi-boot configuration. But it don't play them older DOS games quite as well...
