Started having the following problem when attempting to burn CDs (data or from a CUE file) using ImgBurn:
- starts writing LeadIn
- suddenly throws up an error popup:
"I/O Error
Device:[0:0:0] PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112D 1.09(ATA)

Interpretation: Incompatible Medium Installed"
When I hit "Cancel" I get a
"Syncronise Cache Failed!
...
Reason: Incompatible Medium Installed"
I used to have DaemonTools installed a while back, and the SPTD hung around after I uninstalled it, so I thought that might have been the issue. Got rid of that, still the same error.
I can burn DVDs just fine, and up until a few months ago CDs burned with no problems.
Using Verbatim CD-R media, which has never failed me before, and which burns fine on my wife's laptop.
The Pioneer drive is about 3 years old

The other error,ScsiStatus: 0x02

I have burned SVCD CD discs up to 830 MB with Nero in mode 2 CD or CD-XA. It leaves out the error checking data to get more room on the CD. Not sure if ImgBurn can do that. But ImgBurn should have told you before burning that the data was more than the disc could hold. -

it's a backup of one of my old Russian music CDs that's gotten so scratched up over the years that it's skipping like crazy. When I made the backup the CD was fine, and the image I'm trying to burn was made directly off of that CD, so not sure why it's bigger than CD media. -
it's showing only around 72 minutes. that should fit fine on a 700mb cdr. as long as that last song is under 8 minutes? might also have to do with it being a cd-text disc, i'm not familiar with that format. is it a karaoke type thing?
try a couple other cdrs. put them in and see what info imageburn comes up with on the media.
