  1. Converting old VHS tapes to DVD. The first couple of conversions went fine. Started getting "The program is of different video formats" errors on some files. Other files are ok and are part of same tape. Any ideas whats going on. Using the trial version of TMPGnc 1.5.20.62. Thanks.

  2. Something has changed in your capture settings between the two tracks. It can be something simple (like audio frequency) to something like resolution or bitrate.

In TMPG DVD Author from the Source Setup screen. You have tracks (the boxes on the left) and files (which are added to the tracks).

You can have multiple resolutions, audio or bitrates on one DVD, just not on the same track.

Try adding the file that's giving you the error to a track by itself on the same DVD and see what it does.

  3. Thanks for the reply. When I press "add video" I'm shown 4 programs (clips), I select the first program and when I press "next" and I get the error. If I cancel and select program 2 I get the same thing. If I cancel and select program 3 or 4 eveything is ok and continues. As far as tracks, the program was the first and the only thing I tried to put on the track.
