It seems I'm alone in experiencing this, and want to spread this question around in the hopes that somebody might recognize my problem and point me the right way.
Whenever I rip/encode the b-side or second disc (i.e. to be continued DVD) I get audio out of sync on the end result. I have tried three different DVDs.
DrZhivago - the movie continues on the b-side. Region 2
Once Upon a Time in America - the movie continues on a second disc. Region 2
Bladerunner - the entire movie is on the b-side, the widescreen version, i.e. not continued. Region 1
I have ripped on two separate machines one win98 and one winxp home, with consequently two different dvd players. I have used DVDdecrypt and encoded to Xvid/AC3 with Autogk. And in all instances the sound is out of sync. I have also encoded to DivX using Super-DVD-ripper on Bladerunner, on both machines, and recieved the same end-result.
In all cases I've had AnyDVD installed and running.
Up until now, I've solved it by editing the interleaving in V-dub, but would very much like to find out what the problem is. Seems that my eye-ear coordination is as bad as my hand-eye, so it'd be great if I could get rips/encodes of b-sides to work as well as normal rip/encodes. Paradoxically, the A-side/First disc in all instances works without a glitch.
When opening the .avi up in v-dub I get a message "Warning: Nothing to output BFrame decoder lag".
Now, if this has been brought up elsewhere, I apologize, most likely I didn't find it when doing searches (I've done several over a longer period of time) because I am not up with the proper expressions used for a problem like this. If anybody could just show me in the right direction, I'd be ever so grateful.
I'm kinda used to people being confused whenever I explain what is wrong, so please ask me about anything you need clarification on. Again, it's because I'm not up with "da lingo" no doubt!
Thanks!
