I've ripped films and then burnt them over the last few months with no problems.
I used DVD Decrypter (3.2.1) and DVD Shrink (3.1.6) and Nero 6. My drives were: ROM- Pioneer 120s (slot type) for reading only and RW:-Liteon DVD-RW (LDW-451s) for burning. Media was Datawrite Red V2. Never had problems with media until just now.
Just recently, once decrypter had ripped the film and i opened up dvd shrink, i kept getting an 'invalid path' /_pv, or something like that and it kept crashing-every time. I entered the code from shrink into the forum and funny enough there were others that had the same problem. The conclusion was that the Pioneer Drive, the 120 inparticular, was not reading the film properly. On the rare occasion that it did encode and then burn, the movie approx. 70-75% of the way through would look like a mosaic and frames would look scrambled. So i decided to change my ROM drive and i have now put in a brand new Samsung (SD-616E).
I have now got a similar thing happening again! Decrypter reads fine, no skipped files, no read errors. DVD shrink does not crash but i still get the same 'mosaic' effect half way through the movie once i've burnt it. I have had 5 wasted discs on a trot!! I've used both versions of decrypter and shrink-same thing happened. Downloaded updated versions for bothVD Decrypter 3.2.2 and DVD Shrink 3.1.7-same thing again. Even used DVD2ONE instead of shrink-same problem.
The thing is that once decrypter rips the film to the HD i have played it using Power DVD and it plays fine. I have encoded it with shrink and no problem. It seems that somewhere late in the process it is all going wrong.
I just do not have a clue. Could it be Nero? Could the Liteon be faulty? Can someone please help me???

U use ONLY dvd-shrink and Nero. I let Shrink to the burning directly through Nero. The latest Shrink is 3.1.7.6
Get that. You don;t need Decripeter. Shrink IS the "decrypter" in this case.
It works 100% for me so I can only imagine you may have some hardware issues going. No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD! -
it could be a bad batch of media.
try other media, or try to burn a different movie on a disc from the same batch your using and see if you still get the problem.
