Hi, I'm wondering if someone can help me.
I've got a football game on my DVR that I want to burn onto DVDs. The DVR has an S-video out and RCA outs. I have Sonic MyDVD, Windows Movie Maker, Studio 8 and Hollywood FX on my computer. I used Sonic to caputre the video (it saved in mpg format) and burned the DVD just fine, however I am disappoined in the quality of the picture when I play it back.
What software/tools/configuration is recommended for capturing the video to burn to DVD? Thanks!

This is not an easy / fast answer you know....
Anyway, here is the short answer:
There is an application called mainconcept 1.4.2 . It is an mpeg 2 encoder with a capture built in fuction. If you use this program, in place of Sonic MyDVD, you gonna have a better picture in terms of quality.
Of course, you have to manually set up the program for this. It is not an automatic solution like Sonic MyDVD. So, prepare to read and learn lots of stuff.
There are no easy and fast solutions in this type of convertions. The only good alternative, is a DVD Standalone recorder. If you wish the best, then prepare to spent 2 - 4 months of your life, just reading about all the steps and all the alternatives you have, about this hobby.
