This is a newbie question, but if I cut & edit a clip (avi, m2v, mpg, etc.) in a program like TDA, premiere, nero express?, then create a recomplied version of the file, will I lose any quality?
What happens or what does not happen in such an event?
Thanks!!!

Edit as much as you like, but when you export the file, make sure you are not using any "compression" on the file. In premiere (thats what I use, and know the most about), you would want to select under "Compressor" NONE. When you compress a movie, you lose quality.
