  1. I got the DVD: The stand. (2dvd's)

When I try to make a copy with dvd2dvd-r afterwards the sound is not synchronised with the image.

    I use DVD2DVD-R 1.8.1 with CCE SP 2.67.00.23 & 3 Pass encoding.

I just use normall settings nothing fancy. Anyone knows that the problem could be?

no but if you rerip with dvdshrink or dvddecrypter and then burn with whatever burning program you would not have a problem.

  3. So you suggest ripping the results of dvd2dvd-r would synchronise the audio??

I find that hard to believe, but I will give it a try!

  4. No that didn't work. It was a bit foolish to believe that. How would dvdshrink know that the audio is out of place?

The movie is way to big to shrink it.. It's over 8GB. The reason I use DVD2DVD-r is because I want a good quality DVD

  7. The stand is over 2 discs, is it not ?, do you want both discs on one dvd-r ?

Yes it's 2 discs. And I want it on two discs also. But since there are no dual layers writers out yet I need it compressed with good quality. Shrinking at 40% compression just gives a but ugly result!

If I couldn't get better than around 70%, I consider splitting. If you are down to 60%, then I personally think you are pushing shit uphill to try to get a good copy. I'd go 4 disks with no compression. Wasn't The Stand done as a mini-series ? It should have logical break points to make life easier.

  11. I think it was a film before it was a mini series as it is so long.
