  1. I have purchased this program and love it.
That being said I have made some great videos with pictures from my digital camera.
The size of the pics from my camera are landscaped @ 8.89”Wx6.67”H which fill the whole screen and look great.
The problem is now I am using pictures I have scanned and some of them are portrait sized @ roughly 4”Wx6”H and they do not fill the screen on the right and left sides.
I have tried to resize them to no avail. No matter how big I make them they never fill the screen. In addition, I have used the crop function in the program but when you shrink the crop box it stays in a perfect square and now you only see half the picture.
Am I stuck with this or is there a way to get around the full screen problem?

The crop box is 4x3 so if you crop you would loose part of each side of the picture. If the side area of the 4x6 photos are important, then do not crop and MOTV will give you a picture that has black bars on the top and bottom. You just can’t make a 4x6 into a full screen 4x3 with any program.

If you have a 16x9 TV you can use MOTV to crop all of your pictures to 16x9, but then you would loose some of the picture on the top and bottom.

  4. Thanks for the reply.
I understand now that 4x6 pics will have the black bars on the right and left sides so now my question is can I resize the picture somehow to fill the screen?

“I understand now that 4x6 pics will have the black bars on the right and left sides”

No the black bars will be on the top and bottom, but if you click on ‘Show TV Safe Region” in the photo edit box (Version 1.1.4) it will show that some of this will not show on most TV because of ‘overscan’ on TV sets. So try making a DVD (DVD-/+RW is good for testing) and see how it looks on your TV

“so now my question is can I resize the picture somehow to fill the screen?”

No, as I said before you can’t fill the screen with a 4x6 without cropping.

But, what you could do is set ‘Panning’ to 89% in ‘Start Region’ and ‘End Region’ start a pan from the left side of the 4x6 picture to the right side of the picture. It will look like the picture is moving from left to right on the TV and you will fill the screen as it moves.
