ripped a dvd movie only with dvdshrink, and went to re author, when opening the title, got this GOP error, does this mean dvdshrink ripped the movie out of dvd-video specifications, or have i got a prob with the authoring programme..?
TIA

DVD Shrink is a transcoder so I doubt it changes the GOP size. Just in case, rip with another tool (say DVD Decrypter) and test to see if TDA gives you the same result. Probably will. If so, you either have an out-of-spec DVD or TDA is talking rubbish. Open the video with an mpeg parser (DVD-Lab has one, Bitrate Viewer too) and see for yourself. If it's true, you'll need to re-encode to fix this. Or you can ignore it and hope it plays fine on your player.
