  1. Hey all,

I'm having a few probs with DVD XCOPY Platinum edition.....

After it has read a DVD and asks for a blank to be inserted, I insert one and click start. It then immediately shows an error message saying 'Cannot write to disk'

This only happens to certain movies and I don't know why!

    Any ideas?

(I have disabled my anti-virus software)

Did you install or update DVD X-Copy after the ban date?

If you updated the software or bought it AFTER the ban date, you need to decrypt the DVD first, then point X-Copy to the decrypted files. (X-Copy can no longer incorporate the decrypter in its software.)

If the problem persists, try this FREE solution:

    1) decrypt with DVD Decrypter,
    2) encode with DVD Shrink 3.1,
    3) back up the resulting audio_ts and video_ts folders to a blank DVD with your favorite DVD backup software.

As a former user of X-copy platinum ($150.00 no less!) I find the FREE solution gives more control over compression, provides better sound and video, and takes about half the time of X-COPY.

    Cheers.
