    Sure. Use DVD Shrink to get the VOBs, and load them into Virtual Dub mod to edit them.

    Use a player program like PowerDVD and locate the vob file which contains the video clip you want. By this I mean play individual vob files on the DVD until you find the vob file containing the portion you are after.

    If it is a commercial DVD then rip 'that' vob file to your HDD using DVD Decrypter, if it's not a commercial DVD then work with the vob file from the DVD disk or simply copy the vob file to your HDD with Windows Explorer.

    DeMultiplex the video and your selected audio stream from that vob file using Tmpgenc 'MPEG TOOLS' (select Files of Type *.*), then use the Multiplex command on those 2 streams to create a MPEG file. Use the CUT/MERGE command (still in MPEG TOOLS) and trim away the video portions you don't want (set start & end points), then save the rest as your finished clip.

    Fairly simple after you do it once.
