    Welcome, marcus !

    At least two ways I can think of;

    re-encode; a last resort, believe me
    re-shrink; shrink the movie and then shrink its output.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Marcus, your best best would be to split the film over two disks using DVD Shrink, nice guide here.

    it worked !! ... i managed to encode it 3 times.... the quality of course was not as good as the original but it's good enuf for a stand alone player....i tried the second option to put it on 2 dvd's but this dvd has about 7 titles and a few chapters... wow, yup !! ..it is not an original but a compilation ... the guide that i got from steve showed an original with 1 title and many chapters, so to split that was hard, maybe impossible... i dunno..... but it took a while to decode this.... the processor is working harder now...lol ... but all the same, i want to thank you all again for being so helpful and kind :] ... i guess the good thing about life is that we never stop learning...
    thanks and i'll be around
