until recently my drive was working burning cdr and dvdr fine so to say. although i had a problem burning dvdr the disc would have like splash like marks or noticeable gaps on the burns, so i ask a comp tech at the store i usually frequent and he was sayin maybe i should udate my firmware and that might correct the problem so i downloaded from my drives main website and went thru the steps, Then after it won't read cdr or audio cd's or blank dvd ,it always brings up waiting for blank media message..where i can't record with none of my programs nero, stomp and alcohol. I tried to see if it would read a already burnt cd and it acted like it wasn't in the drive, but will only play Finished DVDs...Is there any solution for my drive to work again or is it time to get a new one?
