  1. Im getting the following error messages in TMPGEnc 2.521. When I select "source range" I get this .... 'Write Error Occurred at address 77F83AED of Module ntdll.dll with 00000000' .... So I click on and go on and configure the source range and than when I get to the end where It would normally start encoding I get the same error message and it will not start encoding. This just started tonight and every other time i've used this program i've had no problems. I completly deleted my TMPGEnc folder and re-extracted the files into a new one and still get the same thing. Anyone know what this means and what I can do to fix it?

    Thanks

Yes, I had an older version working fine at one time.

I'm running a Dell ....P4 2.53 with 650MB RAM and Windows XP Pro. I'm trying to encode a .AVI file with a XVID codec.

I did a search on this forum and elsewhere on the net under the 77F83AED code and other people have experienced the same problem, but not resolutions.

Also found this tip in a previous post:

    1) Reboot
    2) Uninstall TMPG
    3) Reboot
    4) Delete TMPG folder
    5) Re-install TMPG
    6) Reboot
    7) Enjoy

This happens periodically, but a fresh install generally fixes it. As to the problem? Who knows, but for it to 'suddenly start' you have to had to do 'something'. Patch, virus update something. Generally it's installing some software.

I'll tell you this: ntdll.dll is not unique to TMPG, it's alive and well in other applications, and it's not remotely related to encoding video either! Welcome to the proverbial 'DLL HELL'.

Followed my advice above and it didn't work. Just found this on TMPGEnc's website. Looks like it may work. I'll report back.

The "Write error occurred at address 77F83AED of module ntdll.dll with 00000000" Error usually happens with XviD files and the Solution usually is to Delete the XviD codec and Install the "FFDShow" decoder and configure it to decode XviD files in the Config settings then you shouldn"t get the error anymore...

  10. OK ... I tried it but the "DECODE USING XVID" check box is greyed out. How do you get that so you can check it? I tried using TMPEng just now and I got the error that you get when you dont have the codec installed when I tried opening the file, Did you have any luck?

Ok. I finally got it to work!

I basically had to follow the instructions posted on this link
    http://www.pegasys-inc.co.jp/bbscgi/search/docs/en/tmpgenc/box63/tmpgenc_post_24086.html

    1. Uninstall XVID
    2. Install FFSHOW
    3. I then got an error telling me TMPGenc couldn't open the file
    4. Changed a setting in the Environmental settings as referenced in the above link.

Appears to be working now. Let me know if you have questions.

  13. Im having problems again .... The FFSHOW icon is not loading when I encode an xvid now. I've made sure all my xvid codecs are uninstalled. I uninstalled and reinstalled ffshow ... than I deleted the TMPGEnc Folder and Re-extracted it ... changed the envirnmental setting that it says to change to a priority 2 in the link above ... than when I select my video file I get the unsupported error ....

  14. I don't know if this will help anyone, but I had the same problem. My steps to success:

    1. Install XviD codec (I already had it installed)
    2. Install ffdshow (again, it was already installed)
    3. Configure XviD movies to be decoded with XviD codec (in ffdshow)
    4. Tried TMPGEnc again, it worked.

So, as you can see, all I actually did was load ffdshow and check the "Decode using XviD" button next to XviD. No restart, no re-installing or anything else.
