1. Put player in standby mode using the Power button on the remote
2. Hit TOP MENU on the remote then CLEAR then the POWER button.

I did this and it took me to a System Diagnostics menu where I could look at anything and everything about the DVD player but I was unable to change the settings. Not sure if this works on other players. I've tried it on 2 different models so far and so far so good. If anyone knows how to change the settings, please let me know! Thanks!
