I have been in the process of converting one of my DVD's to VCD for back-up use and I have converted to MPEG using TMPGEnc. However, when I try to burn the MPEG to VCD using Nero 5.5 is says that the MPEG is not suitable to make a compliant VCD CD V2.0 and asks if I want to re-encode the MPEG as it is not MPEG-1 but rather an unknown format. When I use windows explorer is says the file is a video clip but when I look at its' properties it says it is an MPEG. I have tried to turn off the compliance as well as re-encode the MPEFG with NEro and it still wont burn. Is there anything I am doing wrong or maybe some settings I need to change during my conversion. If anyone can help thank you!

I didn't use the wizard however these are the settings I used:
I loaded the .d2v for the video source and the .wav for the audio source.
VideoCD (NTSC Film).mcf
Motion Search Precision: highest quality
Video Source Type: Non_Interlace (Progessive)
Field Order: Bottom Field First (field B)
Source aspect ratio: 4:3 525 line (NTSC, 704 X 480)
Video arrange Method: Full Aspect Ratio
Video Output: MPEG-1Carpe' Diem -
I found the problem was the source aspect ratio was incorrect and needed to be changed to 4:3 525 line (NTSC). Thanks.
