Yes, these are unofficial in the sense that LiteOn has not (and will not) posted VS01 on its website and that flashing any 812S drive with this firmware will, of course, void the warranty.

However, the stock VS01 firmware here matches, byte-for-byte, the official retail VS01 firmware.
