Nero problem, Idles at "Analyzing file"

My Nero always worked fine up to a day ago.

I'm trying to burn a svcd or any movie file now, and when i load a movie into the box in on the left, a new window pops up and says Analyzing file.

It just idles on that window or freezes up. The movie wont load.

Also a day ago when problems started, the movies would load but when they started writing to disk, they wouldnt finalize. I got a message Medium not Present, every time.

What is going on here, and how do I fix it?

that could narrow your problem down a little more.

There are quite a few free burning tools.
I would suggest DVD Decrypter.. but have a look.

DVD Decrypter doesn't author VCD's. I would suggest VCDEasy but the freeware version doesn't seem to be available anymore. The trial is limited to 400mb. You might want to consider downloading the latest version of Nero but make sure you uninstall the old version before proceeding with the new one. I would set up a system restore point beforehand as a fail safe.

Well I got nero to work..


The movies load now, and I had to change the finalization settings to "Track at Once" not Disk at once.

I havent watch the entire movie but my dvd player does read it.
