I have just bought this dvd recorder, and i knew that it wouldn't record anything with copyright, but id heared so much about people using a scart cable and being able to record the likes of cable / sky.
now i am a bit dissapointed and i really hope that someone could please shed any light on this
i have a scart cable, but its only a cheap one i got a few years ago.
alls i have done right now is got all the basics workin right, and i havew put the rw disc that come free in the drive and pressed record and when i play it back its just a black screen and thats it, so it is recording something but just no picture.
its actualy telewest (cable) i have, and its the analogue version now digital.
can anyone help?
thank you

You have analog cable hooked up to antenna in ( cat5 ) ?
Do you see a broadcast signal ? Can you change channels on tuner?
Have you gone thru the setup menu?God Bless
