Can you make money in this DVD video making world? I am computer consultant, but always thought doing digital video pretty cool. Is there a market for something like this? How would ya know? Test market it locally? just thinking out loud.

As for making money from DVD's it depends on how good you are, how much time available do you have and what sort of equipment do you have at your disposal.

Look at things like VHS -> DVD conversions (pretty cut throat), corporate traing videos/presentations and other things that are generally too small for the bigger production houses to touch.

My mate had a some great ideas about a scam revolving around aspiring actresses and them ending up naked in bed. He just couldn't work out whether it was legal or not and didn't want to walk into a police station to ask.

Not hard to enter into, just that so many people can do it that the profit margin is very slim.
