  1. I'm new to dvd shrink, can anybody help me with this:

I'm trying to copy a movie [its not protected] it comes to 10% complete
then one window pop up showing me this message:

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
    Fail to read file "E:"
    Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

    just like that.

    What is that mean?
    How can I provent this?

    Please Help.

  2. try using a different version of shrink. i use 2.3, 3.0b5, and 3.17. 3.0b5 is the most stable, but also has the most problems reading files from other programs...TMPGEnc DVD Author's output for example.
also turn off your BOLD formatting.

I usually get that error message when the disk is dirty, scratched, or that nasty blue FBI warning screen on some movies. Try DVDDecrypter as well. Sometimes I have better luck ripping the disk with that.
Then I'll run through DVDShrink. And if DVDShrink still does'nt work. Then I run the VOB files thru IFOedit. Then it usually works for me.

Definitely a dirty disc. Try giving it a good clean and polish.
