    Hey there. I'm looking for a good dvd player available in Canada/US that can play DVD-R+R-RW+RW as well as CD-R-RW, MP3, VCD, and SVCD. Preferably a well known brand like Panasonic, Sony, that sort of thing and as cheap as possible. I tried looking up the DVD players, but they don't show which players are sold in which countries and I'm guessing a lot of those multi-region players are sold in R2 countries.

    they carry the Malata brand at futureshop ...most of those are (if not all) are region free, play pal and ntsc and even convert ...

    they will play svcd, vcd, mp3 also

    they are also pretty inexpensive ..


    one model (the little one) has a thing where it will not play a dvd-r/+ unless there is 2gig of data on it (anything - any directory)
